Residents of the Hilarita, a low-to-moderate housing complex in Tiburon, were thrilled when the Tiburon-Belvedere Rotary Club agreed to lend a hand with their community garden. A group of 22 families had been working for five years to create a beautiful garden that would blend in with the natural hillside but needed help completing it. The residents raked and shoveled to prepare their garden plots, and Rotarians gave time, built planter boxes and donated soil and wood.
“Thank you for helping to bring this wonderful cultural enriching experience to the residents of the Hilarita Apartment Complex,” said Gillian Lovejoy of the Hilarita Garden Committee.
