Poway Spirit Day celebrates the spirit of volunteerism in the Poway community. Many projects are chosen, including trash pick up in many areas, pulling weeds at the Kumeyaay Interpretive Center and several parks, painting park benches in parks, clean up work at Lake Poway and the Blue Sky Preserve, cleaning books at the Library, helping at the Senior Center, and many more. Volunteers check in and are deployed. The morning ends with a barbeque.
